Superannuation contributions while you are overseas

Did you know you, as an outbound expatriate, could continue to contribute to an Australian complying superannuation fund?

While you are overseas, Australian superannuation contributions may not be compulsory. This however, does not hinder your ability to continue to make contributions into an Australian superannuation fund. In addition, you can claim deductions against your other assessable income if certain conditions are satisfied. Of course, care needs to be taken if you have a self-managed superannuation fund.
