Last chance to apply for Payroll Tax rebates

Would up to $6000 help your business with its payroll rebates? If so, you must act now to check your eligibility.

If you're running a business in NSW and employ staff, then you may be eligible to access payroll rebates and a small business grant from the NSW Government's job creation strategy.

Businesses in NSW that employe new workers may be able to access both, however, must be registered as an employer and paying payroll tax in NSW by 30 June 2019.

As the end of financial year hurtles towards us, why should you consider taking action? There are two types of funding that can support your business.

What sort of funding is available?

There are two types of funding that eligible businesses may be able to access:

  1. A Jobs Action Plan Rebate up to $6,000 if your business pays payroll tax and is registered before 30 June 2019
  2. A small business grant of up to $2,000 for businesses that are non-payroll businesses from 1 July 2015

The grant and rebate are available to businesses who hire new employees.

Are you eligible?

Your business may be eligible if:

  • It has employees who work in NSW at least 50% of the time
  • All businesses apart from religious and charitable institutions, government-run bodies, schools and most aother not-for-profit organisations
