has announced changes that will ease privacy concerns for home-based business owners, following changes to the National Business Names Register.
From now on, home-based businesses will be able to opt-out of registering a physical address, which previously made the details of their home address public. Instead, they will now be able to register a PO address instead. According to the Council of Small Business of Australia
, there are between 800,000 and 1.2 million home based businesses in Australia.
The problem emerged last year when the Labor Government introduced the business names register that required a physical address be included as part of registering a business name.
The change won't happen automatically. Please contact us on 02 9957 4033
